We are reading A Perfect Red: Empire, Espionage, and the Quest for the Color of Desire by Amy Butler Greenfield for the June session. Join us on a journey following the story of Cochineal dye, a mysterious substance that created the boldest red anyone had ever seen. Of course envy, intrigue, and adventure are part of this tale as European countries raced to figure out what it was and how to make it theirs.
Registration Required: Please register through the library system. Zoom meeting information will be emailed to registrants on the day of the event. This event is moderated.
