October 7, 6:00–8:00pm
Free with Museum admission
Join us for an evening of art, knitting, crochet, music, and drinks in conjunction with the exhibition AbStranded: Fiber and Abstraction in Contemporary Art. Fiber artists of all levels are welcome to join us, grab a drink, enjoy light bites, and participate in an evening of knitting. Bring your current project or shop with local indie dyers such as Handmade Travels and The Yarn Cupboard. Those wishing to learn to knit or crochet are encouraged to join us. Carrie Drake of Handmade Travels Yarn will be giving lessons. Wine tasting is brought to you by the American Wine Society.
The Everson is also accepting handmade donations to benefit local residents of Syracuse in need. Winter accessories such as socks, hats, gloves, and scarves are welcome and will be donated to the Rescue Mission. Donations may be brought on this evening or through November 30 during public hours to the Everson’s Danial Family Education Center.
De-stash your closet and bring your yarns to swap. All transactions will be handled on an individual basis.
