Festival of Trees - Silver Edition

General admission is $6 per person

This Syracuse tradition features more than 100 artfully decorated trees, wreathes and special displays creating a magical holiday wonderland. The decorations and displays are all for sale, proceeds benefit the Everson Museum of Art. Enjoy live entertainment provided by local school and musical groups. Stop into the Holiday Shop where you’re sure to find the perfect gift.

Join us on a day trip to the Adirondacks on September 23rd. Our day will begin with a visit to the 29th Annual Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolor at the Arts Center in Old Forge. We will enjoy a delicious lunch at the North Woods Inn, located on the water looking out over Fourth Lake. Our last stop will be a docent led tour of the Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute, where we will view their newly renovated galleries, ongoing sculpture court project and exhibition of English mezzotints. 24 Hour Design Challenge

Time: 1.00pm

What:  The Everson Museum of Art is holding a 24-hour design challenge in conjunction
with fall exhibitions, Good Design: Stories From Herman Miller and Designed to Scale.

When: The design theme will be announced and e-mailed to all pre-registered participants at 1.00pm on Friday, September 24. Designs (illustrations, 3-D rendering, proto-type) will be due, in person, at the Everson Museum at 1.00pm on Saturday, September 25. Judging will take place at 2.00pm. Prizes will be awarded in three categories (winners must be present to claim prize).

Who (ages):
Category A: 18 and over
Category B: 13 -18
Category C: under 13

Day Trip to Corning

On October 20th we will venture to Corning, where we will have a docent led tour of the Rockwell Museum of Western Art. Lunch will be at the popular Three Birds Restaurant. Our afternoon will end with a docent led tour of the Corning Museum of Glass, highlighting current exhibitions Medieval Glass for Popes, Princes and Peasants and Tiffany Treasures: Favrile Glass from Special Collections.
