Chautauqua Institute
July 26 - 30, 2015

The Everson Trip Committee is planning a trip to the Chautauqua Institute in 2015. The topic for the week is "Art and Politics."  Lecturers will demonstrate how art is used in politics and to influence political processes using examples from music, fine art, photography, the digital world, comedy, satire and language. Members' Opening Night Reception

Time: 5.30pm to 8.00pm

Be amongst the first in town to see Prendergast to Pollock! Members received complimentary admission to this celebratory evening, and one complimentary drink, as a benefit of their membership. Admission includes access to this special exhibition, as well as our permanent collection, live music, light refreshments, and a cash bar. Non-members are welcome to attend, $15 per person.

The Look of Love

Ahead of Valentine’s Day, treat that special someone to a memorable Valentine’s themed evening of tours, tastings and more. Join us for docent guided tours starting at 6.00pm of our permanent collection and special exhibition Prendergast to Pollock. Docents will share stories that accentuate love and even some intriguing stories of love gone wrong. After your tour enjoy wine tasting and chocolate courtesy of Greenwood Winery and The Speach Family Candy Shoppe. Fee includes exhibition admission and five wine tastings. Singles welcome too for that chance to meet that special someone. Be sure to stop by our Museum Gift Shop to find that perfect gift for your Valentine. 

Sweet Encounters: Music & Art

Time: 7.30pm

Symphoria and the Everson come together to present a one-of-a-kind evening. Art and music go hand in hand as Ken Meyer performs Rodrigo’s most famous work, Concierto deAranjuez. Artwork in the galleries pairs perfectly with works by Tchaikovsky and Faure, and are sure to make for a special Valentine’s Day treat. Refreshments available.

$5-$25 per person, for tickets.
