Everson Museum of Art Welcomes New Trustees to the Board

The Everson Museum of Art welcomed new Trustees to the Everson Board on January 1, 2024. These individuals, according to Everson Director & CEO Elizabeth Dunbar, “bring unique community and professional experiences that complement our existing Board leadership skills and expertise. Board Chair Heather Schroeder and I are excited to work with our new class of Trustees as we begin developing a new strategic plan for Central New York’s premiere arts organization.” Everson Board members serve a three-year term.

NEW TRUSTEES 2024-2026

Kevin Bailey

Kevin Bailey is an information technology leader and consultant with more than 20 years’ experience delivering innovative, entrepreneurial solutions. He served as a Director, Assistant Dean, and Chief Information Officer of the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University for 10 years before joining Crowe, LLP in 2021. Kevin is a member of the board of CNY Pride. He holds a Master of Religion from Yale University. Kevin and his husband Ludger reside in the Westcott neighborhood of Syracuse.

Timothy Crosby

Tim Crosby is the Vice President of Client Services at SIDEARM Sports – a Learfield company. SIDEARM is a technology firm headquartered in downtown Syracuse (State Tower Building), that designs, builds, and manages college athletic websites and mobile apps for over 1,600 partners across the U.S. and Canada. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Tim moved to Syracuse in 2015. He is happily married to his husband, Michael, a public-school teacher in Liverpool, for 7 years. Tim attended Mercyhurst University in Erie, PA, for both his undergraduate degree (Political Science) and his master’s degree (Organizational Leadership). Tim currently serves as a board member for the Friends of the Rosamond Gifford Zoo and was recently honored as Central New York Business Journal’s 40 Under Forty. He is also a proud member of the 2023 Leadership Greater Syracuse cohort and serves on Syracuse University School of Education’s – Inclusive U Business Engagement Committee.

Maggie Goss

Maggie (Kovalcik) Goss was raised in rural Wellsboro, PA and lived in Philadelphia before planting roots in Syracuse. She received an undergraduate degree from Ithaca College in Theatre Arts Management and moved to Chicago following graduation to pursue a career in theatre. Back on the east coast, Maggie has performed a number of administrative roles, becoming a trusted Executive Assistant in a number of sectors. While working at Le Moyne, Maggie obtained a master’s degree in arts administration. Now at Hueber-Breuer, Maggie leads the administrative, marketing, community relations and human resources activities of the 151 year-old company while serving as a trusted advisor to the owners. Maggie lives in Fayetteville with her husband and two young daughters.

Amanda Hughes

Amanda is a Syracuse native, local business owner, former NCAA Division I coach, and all-around community creator. She attributes her success to leading from the heart, with empathy and compassion, making personal growth a priority, and knowing when to say no. Amanda is founder and owner of two local enterprises. The Ice Cream Stand, which just celebrated its eighth season, is a dessert destination in Clinton Square. Jayne’s Collective is a female-focused community that connects, educates, and empowers its members through coaching, courses, and consulting. She is also founder of November Project Syracuse and a Legacy lululemon Ambassador. Regardless of the endeavor, Amanda is focused on bringing people together in fun and creative ways.

Kimberly A. Mezzalingua

Kim Mezzalingua resides in Skaneateles NY with her husband John, four children and three animal children. Originally from New Jersey, she made her way to Syracuse by way of the West Coast. She began a career in cable sales at CNBC that took her out west, until she relocated for her husband’s career and never looked back. She has been a happy stay at home mother for twenty-four years. During those years, she immersed herself in the study of art and design and is passionate about sharing that with the community.

Andrew Ramsgard

As creative director and CEO of Ramsgard Architectural Design, Andy Ramsgard has led his award-winning architectural practice for over 30 years. Ramsgard’s work has been recognized internationally as a new form of modern-classic by achieving the highest quality of architecture of kind going beyond traditional periods of history and being current in its context. In addition to full architectural services, Ramsgard Architectural Design offers interior design, furniture design, brand creation and master planning services. Andy’s portfolio includes Mirbeau Inn Spa, Savannah Dhu conference Center, multiple lounges at Turning Stone Casino Resort, 1911 Established Distillery, numerous restaurant and commercial projects in Skaneateles and Ithaca, and private residences–including his own Leary Castle.

Dr. Juhanna Rogers

Juhanna Rogers, PhD. is a motivational speaker, commentator, artist, education activist, and Host of the WCNY/PBS television series “Behind the Woman.” Dr. Rogers is also the Vice President of Racial Equity and Social Impact of CenterState CEO. In this role, Dr. Rogers helps develop and deploy DEI strategies that achieve more equitable outcomes both internally and across the organization’s portfolio of work. Dr. Rogers holds a degree in Integrative Arts from Penn State University, a master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education with a focus on Race and Equity from Indiana University. In 2024, she earned her MFA in playwriting from Goddard College. She recently served as a visiting artist at the Stone Quarry Hill Art Park located in Cazenovia, NY working on a new play titled, Queendom. Her poetry was published in the Divine Feminist (anthology), and she makes regular appearances on the BronxNet and The Today Show speaking on the Black experience.

Cathy Winger

Cathy Winger is a retired mental health professional who has served on several community boards, both health and human services organizations and organizations focusing on the arts.  She is proud of what she considers to be the cultural centerpiece of our community, the Everson Museum of Art. She has served as a volunteer at the Everson in many capacities, including past President of the Members Council, volunteer in the Education Department, and past officer and member of the Board of Trustees.
