This year, we’re bringing the party inside the Museum!
The Everson Summer Social is our premier fundraising event of the year, combining the very best of the Annual Picnic and the Everson Social into one amazing evening. Guests will have the opportunity to explore the galleries while enjoying culinary delights, festive drinks, and live entertainment. Funds raised by the event support the continued growth and accessibility of the Museum’s exhibitions, learning and engagement, and outreach programs; providing greater opportunities for everyone to enjoy the transformative power of the arts.

The Everson Museum of Art serves our community in meaningful and impactful ways thanks to the support of sponsors, partner organizations, donors, and volunteers. Sponsorship contributions assist the Museum in making a variety of services accessible to the public, including exhibitions, youth camps, art classes, performances, lectures, free community programs, and more.
2024 Honorees
Each year, the Everson celebrates those who have shown tremendous support for the Museum, in a wide variety of ways. This year we are thrilled to honor Sue Stanczyk, Chief of Staff to the Onondaga County Executive and Ellen Hardy, long-time Everson volunteer. We are grateful for their many contributions and the role they play in the Everson’s many accomplishments.
About Sue Stanczyk
For most of her professional career, Sue Stanczyk has been a passionate and tireless advocate for the Arts & Culture community in Onondaga County and Central New York. She currently serves on multiple boards dedicated to promoting and advancing the arts community including Visit Syracuse, CNY Arts, the Everson Museum and the New York State Blues Festival. From her time working as Budget Director for the Onondaga County Legislature to her current role as Chief of Staff to County Executive Ryan McMahon, the arts and culture community has benefited greatly from Sue’s unwavering commitment and advocacy. From successfully securing critical funding to helping to grow awareness and attendance, Sue understands the incredible value that a successful arts and culture eco-system has when it comes to quality of life in Onondaga County and Central New York.
About Ellen Hardy
In September 2008, Ellen Hardy joined a large group of candidate docents at the Everson Museum of Art to prepare for the Turner to Cezanne exhibit, in January 2010. It seemed good retirement fit after a career as a French and Spanish teacher in Syracuse City Schools for 15 years and a vice-principal in North Syracuse for 16 years.
Since then, Ellen has been involved in many volunteer positions. She has served as the Everson Docent Organization’s Vice President twice, is a former President of Member’s Council, and contributes yearly to Festival of Trees & Light. As an experienced member of the Everson’s Outreach Team, she has participated in four national docent symposiums and been part of the team who presented at two of them about the successful Everson Outreach program.
