The Story:

Meet Louise Rosenfield, the visionary behind our new café. As a Dallas-based potter and Everson Trustee, Louise has dedicated her life to collecting functional ceramics. With over 3,000 pieces by 500 contemporary artists, she dreamed of a place where these works could be used and enjoyed daily. Louise’s generous donation to the Everson transforms this vision into reality, creating a space where art and dining seamlessly blend.

The Food:

Danielle Mercuri Campolito and the renowned Drēmer Restaurant Group, known for their creative culinary ventures like Rise N Shine, bring their expertise to Louise. With a menu designed to delight the senses, Drēmer’s innovative approach ensures every dish is a masterpiece, both in flavor and presentation. Expect the unexpected as they push the boundaries of traditional dining.

The Experience:

At Louise, every meal is a multisensory journey. Diners will savor delicious cuisine served on unique ceramic pieces from the Rosenfield Collection. Each dish is paired with a specific ceramic piece, creating a harmonious blend of food and art. With no two dining experiences alike, guests will continually discover new shapes, sizes, and stories behind the ceramics they use.

The Art:

Explore the rich history and craftsmanship of each ceramic piece with our interactive feature. Simply scan the piece with your phone to learn more about the artist and the inspiration behind the work. Carefully selected to complement the food, each piece in the Rosenfield Collection offers a unique dining experience. With over 3,000 pieces in rotation, every visit to Louise promises something new and exciting.

The Space:

Louise is more than a café—it’s an immersive experience brought to life by the innovative Los Angeles-based architecture firm, MILLIØNS, led by Zeina Koreitem & John May. Their stunning design for Louise was prominently featured in Architectural Digest, highlighting their exceptional work. The space beautifully integrates 4,000 ceramic pieces from the Louise Rosenfield Collection into its design. Two prismatic glass volumes in the atrium enhance natural light and serve as dynamic display cases, creating an inviting and artistic atmosphere. With custom-designed tables that cater to individual, semi-communal, and communal dining, Louise transforms every meal into a unique blend of culinary and artistic delight.
