About Sammy Obeid: Lebanese-Palestinian American comedian Sammy Obeid, born in Oakland, California, holds a double major in Business and Mathematics from UC Berkeley. He famously turned down a job offer from Google to pursue his passion for comedy. Now the host of 100 Humans on Netflix, Sammy has also appeared on NBC’s Last Comic Standing and America’s Got Talent, as well as TBS’s Conan. He is perhaps best known for his world record of performing comedy for 1,001 consecutive nights, a feat highlighted in both Time Magazine and The New York Times.
