Kwanzaa is a seven-day non-religious festival that is observed by many African Americans from December 26 to January 1, as a celebration of their cultural heritage and traditional values. Join Griot Vanessa Johnson for a day of Storytelling and Creating “Zawadi” – a Swahili word meaning “gift”. We will make an African-themed tree ornament and collage a “Safari Sunset” featuring a rainforest animal of your choosing!
