Inspired by the rich tradition of American quilt patterns and rural barn quilt trails, this workshop invites participants to paint their own bold, geometric quilt square on wood. Pre-drawn designs allow participants to focus on color, technique, and clean execution while learning the foundational process behind barn quilt construction.
Participants will:
- Learn the history and cultural significance of barn quilts
- Understand how quilt patterns are measured and constructed
- Practice clean painting techniques using tape and layering
- Explore color theory and contrast in geometric design
- Leave with a finished wooden quilt square ready to display
