HOMESCHOOL ART CLASS ANNOUNCED

SYRACUSE, NY (January 26, 2016) – The Everson Museum of Art is pleased to announce a new art class for homeschool students. Art Explorers is a six-session art class which meets Wednesday afternoons from Noon – 2.00pm, February 24 – March 30. The class is designed to make it easy for homeschool families to include art as part of their studies. Participants ages 10 – 17 will focus on several different artists and styles and will experiment in sculpture, painting and printmaking. Students will also have opportunities to engage in guided exploration and sketching in the Museum galleries.

Curator of Education Kimberly Griffiths said, “These classes provide a welcoming and fun environment for homeschooled children interested in expanding their artistic horizons.”

Art Explorers is $80 for Everson members and $100 for non-members. Pre-registration is required, materials will be provided, and space is limited. To register, please contact Griffiths at [email protected] or (315) 474 6064 x308.
