EVERSON MUSEUM ANNOUNCES NEW ADMISSION POLICY AND MEMBERSHIP DRIVE
SYRACUSE, NY (January 29, 2016) – The Everson Museum hopes to greatly increase their membership base in February and March 2016. A new membership drive, which corresponds with the opening of new exhibitions including Helen Levitt: In the Street, will encourage visitors to take advantage of all the extra benefits membership has to offer, including FREE admission.
The membership drive coincides with an updated admission policy. Starting February 6, admission to the Everson will be as follows: $8 for adults, $6 for students and seniors, free for children under 12, military service members and Everson members. The new admission policy makes Everson membership more valuable than ever. As an extra incentive, the Everson is offering 20% off to any new individual, household or fellow memberships between February 1 and March 31. Membership starts at $40 per year.
“Members are the heart and soul of the Everson,” said Elizabeth Dunbar, Director and CEO. “As we continue to increase our offerings, it’s a great time for the community to invest in our efforts by becoming members.”
Benefits of Everson Museum membership include:
-Year-round free general admission to the Everson Museum of Art
-Free access to Opening Night Receptions
-20% off art classes
-Special pricing for events
-10% off in the Gift Shop
-Reciprocal membership at over 20 New York state museums (all membership levels)
-Reciprocal membership at over 800 national partner museums (Fellow level and above)
Corresponding with the new admission policies, the Everson will also launch new initiatives to continue to keep the Museum accessible to all. Every Wednesday, the Museum will operate on a Pay-What-You-Wish admission policy and on the third Thursday of every month from 5.00 – 8.00pm, admission will be free and complimentary tours will be offered. Family Days and Community Days will also continue to be free to the public. Popular programs like Sunday Funday, Baby & Me Tours and Artful Tales will remain free with Museum admission.
