Anual celebration of the senses to benefit Everson Museum
SYRACUSE, NY (March 8, 2016) – The Everson Museum of Art is pleased to announce that Celebration of the Senses, an annual event hosted by Carol Watson Greenhouse to benefit the Everson Museum, will return on April 2 & 3 from 10.00am – 5.00pm. The event takes place at Carol Watson Greenhouse, 2980 Sentinel Heights Rd., LaFayette, NY 13084, and admission is free. Seventeen local artisans will offer their crafts for sale and raffle off items, and CNY restaurants will offer food tastings. Several local musicians will provide live entertainment.
“This event has become a great way to celebrate the beginning of spring and a tradition we look forward to every season,” said Carol Watson, owner of Carol Watson Greenhouse. “Guests will surround themselves with the beautiful sights and smells of the greenhouse while enjoying a variety of samples from local restaurants and supporting local artisans. We are thrilled that an event like this helps support the Everson Museum.”
Proceeds from the artisan raffle and tasting ticket sales will benefit the Everson Museum of Art. Raffle and tasting tickets are $1 each. Carol Watson Greenhouse will also donate a portion of greenhouse sales to the Museum.
Director Elizabeth Dunbar said, “Carol Watson Greenhouse has created a wonderful partnership with the Everson through Celebration of the Senses which has sparked a beautiful union between local businesses and the community.”
