Help us preserve the precious works of art on view, so that all may enjoy them in years to come. Your assistance in complying with these policies is very much appreciated.
For the safety of the art and visitors, nothing may be carried on your back. Items that cannot be carried reasonably and safely by another means must be stored in our free lockers. Umbrellas must be left at the Visitor Services Desk.
Food and beverages are not permitted inside the galleries. Food and beverages may be enjoyed in the Everson café, Louise, and in Hosmer Auditorium.
Do not touch artwork or approach any artwork closer than 24 inches. The invisible oils on our fingertips or a collision caused by an unpredictable trip or slip could cause lasting damage to a precious work of art. So, please don’t touch and stand a slight distance away from objects while viewing.
The Museum permits photography and video recording of its exhibitions. Electronic flashes, selfie sticks, and tripods are not permitted. Professional photo shoots are permitted inside the Museum only with advance notice, by contacting Jennifer Neuner at [email protected]. No drop-in appointments will be taken.
