Introduction to Pastels

A four-part series of lessons (two hours each) designed as an introduction to pastel art techniques. Perfect for the beginner-level artist and those seeking to increase foundational knowledge of the medium. With guidance from instructor/artist Eva Hunter, participants will discover how to unlock the creative potential of this attractive and versatile medium. 

Class Supply List Needed Per Participant

-Nu-Pastel Hard Pastels (a small set of basic colors will suffice)
-Soft pastel set (half stick or whole, whatever you prefer. Get the primary colors and add few others that you like)
-Pastel pencils (try to match them to the soft pastel colors you select)
-Chamois cloth (small)
-9 x 12 inch pastel paper pad
-X-acto knife & blades
-Kneaded eraser
-Small sketch book
-Drawing pencil & sharpener
-Pastel panel or Sanded Pastel Paper (WAIT until after the first session to purchase this!)
