Marley for a lecture exploring the history of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and its lasting impact on American art. Discover how the academy’s artists helped shape the nation’s artistic legacy through their work in portraiture, history, genre painting, still life, landscapes, and more.

Making American Artists: Stories from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, 1776-1976 is co-organized by the American Federation of Arts and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Dr. Anna Marley

Dr. Anna O. Marley is the Director of Curatorial Affairs at the Toledo Museum of Art and formerly served as the Chief of Curatorial Affairs and the Kenneth R. Woodcock Curator of Historical American Art at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
