Design and print your own custom tote bag using a DIY silk screening process! In this hands-on workshop, participants will create their own screens with embroidery hoops and mesh, then transfer their designs with screen-filler techniques. Once the screens are complete, participants will print their designs onto tote bags using ink and squeegees—learning a process they can easily recreate at home.
Participants will:
- Understand the basics of screen printing
- Learn how to create a DIY screen using accessible materials
- Explore positive/negative space in design
- Practice layering and stencil-building techniques
- Print a custom design onto a functional tote bag
