DIY Silk Screen Tote Bags Workshop

Sunday, August 9, 2026
1 – 4 pm | Danial Family Education Center
$45 Non-Members | $36 Members

Design and print your own custom tote bag using a DIY silk screening process! In this hands-on workshop, participants will create their own screens with embroidery hoops and mesh, then transfer their designs with screen-filler techniques. Once the screens are complete, participants will print their designs onto tote bags using ink and squeegees—learning a process they can easily recreate at home.

Participants will:

  • Understand the basics of screen printing
  • Learn how to create a DIY screen using accessible materials
  • Explore positive/negative space in design
  • Practice layering and stencil-building techniques
  • Print a custom design onto a functional tote bag
