Celebrate Art and History

Join us for an engaging gallery talk and reception celebrating the work of the 2024 Erie Canal Artists-in-Residence—Alon Koppel, Judit German-Heins, and Clara Riedlinger. This special event accompanies At Water’s Edge: Reflections on 200 Years of the Erie Canal, offering an opportunity to hear directly from the artists as they share their creative process and reflect on their year-long exploration of the Erie Canal’s history, landscape, and cultural influence.

The gallery talk begins at 1:00 PM, followed by a reception where guests can connect with the artists and fellow attendees over light refreshments.

This event is free for Everson Museum and Erie Canal Museum members and included with general museum admission for all others.

The At Water’s Edge exhibition highlights the Erie Canal’s enduring relevance, blending history with contemporary perspectives. Through photography, the artists reveal how this historic waterway continues to shape our environment and cultural identity.
