Throughout history, people around the world have imagined protective beings that watch over individuals, families, homes, places, and even ideas. These guardians have appeared in many forms—tutelary spirits, daimons, household deities, totems, guardian figures, and protective animals. While their appearances and cultural meanings differ, they all reflect a common human desire to create symbols of protection, guidance, and connection.
In this workshop, participants will design and sculpt their own contemporary guardian figure using Aves® Apoxie Sculpt. Rather than recreating an existing cultural or religious symbol, participants will invent a unique being inspired by their own lives, values, interests, or environments.
No previous sculpting experience is necessary, just imagination and a willingness to experiment.
