What medium could be a better choice to recreate the Everson Museum of Art’s blocky architecture at small scale than Lego bricks?

Known for its presence as a local brutalist icon, the Everson has collaborated with the company BuildaMOC (Make your Own Creation) to create a 342-piece Lego model of the Syracuse museum and its grounds. BuildaMOC designs and packages custom kits using repackaged authentic Lego bricks.

The set is designed for ages 9+ so kids and adults alike can play with scale, form and design while learning about basic architectural concepts like bush hammering and cantilever beams.

The kit comes with an instruction pamphlet that explores the museum’s history and the story of Everson architect I.M. Pei, who also designed the Louvre Pyramid in Paris, alongside step-by-step instructions on how to assemble the miniature.

Sixty dollars from the sale of every $150 set will go directly to the Everson.
