FOOD TRUCK FRIDAYS ON THE EVERSON COMMUNITY PLAZA

SYRACUSE, NY (June 28, 2016) – The Everson Museum of Art is pleased to announce “Food Truck Fridays,” a recurring summer event in partnership with the Syracuse Food Truck Association. From 11.00am to 3.00pm on Fridays starting on July 1 and continuing until August 12, several food trucks will congregate on the Everson Community Plaza providing a unique lunch option to those who live, work, and visit downtown.

During each Food Truck Friday, visitors will have the opportunity to experience contemporary artist Kate Gilmore’s installation, Touch like this, Hold like that. This unique performance art piece will also take place on the Everson Community Plaza for spectators to enjoy free of charge during the events. There are picnic tables and benches available for guests to sit and eat their lunch.

“The Plaza provides a beautiful setting to enjoy a lunch break downtown,” said Community & Public Relations Manager, Renee Storiale. “We’re so happy to be working with the Syracuse Food Truck Association to provide a space for outdoor dining in the summer months, and Gilmore’s installation is sure to generate lively lunchtime discussions.”
