Members’ Council is an energetic group of volunteers who are active ambassadors for the Everson. Volunteering with the Everson Members’ Council is a gratifying experience in a beautiful setting where friendships are formed. Members share their time and talents by contributing to the Museum’s mission to engage, inspire, and activate the community. Volunteering is hands on, interactive, and best of all, it’s fun!

Our goal is to create a diverse team of volunteers that reflect all areas of our community! We welcome people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. No arts experience? No problem! Participating in the Everson’s Members’ Council is an opportunity to grow, learn, and give back to the community.
Opportunities
Council members host special events (including the annual Festival of Trees & Light), volunteer in the Museum Shop and at Museum events, prepare and distribute informational materials, and much more.

Training
Volunteer opportunities are varied and flexible. Some require greater preparation than others, but whatever role you choose, you will first and foremost be an Ambassador of the Everson Museum of Art.
We ask that all volunteers participate in a one-hour orientation, offered the first Thursday of each month at 12:00pm. An Everson staff person and a Members’ Council representative will lead a building tour and information session to help incoming volunteers get acquainted with policies and procedures, programs and exhibitions, and fun facts about the Everson.
